I have seen cauliflower wings recipes for quite some time now, but I have always been a little skeptical to try them because cauliflower is one of my least favorite vegetables. I also never really liked BBQ wings when I was a meat-eater. One day I decided to buy cauliflower at the grocery store with zero recipe ideas in mind. I just bought it because I wanted to buy it. It sat in my refrigerator for about a week before I finally decided that I needed to do something with it. The idea of cauliflower wings popped into my head, and I decided that I would give it a try. I am so glad that I did! I may not like cauliflower and BBQ wings by themselves, but put those two things together and I am in love!

I have heard people say that cauliflower wings taste like real wings made with real meat. I am going to have to disagree with that statement. It has been over seven years since I have eaten any meat, but these cauliflower wings don’t taste like meat to me. I can still definitely taste the cauliflower, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t like them. Oh no, I love them! The BBQ sauce and Sriracha sauce mixes perfectly with the cauliflower to make it taste oh so delicious. They just don’t taste like meat, which I am actually not going to complain about because I have eaten a few fake meats over the years that taste exactly like what I remember meat tasting like. Realistic fake meats honestly freak me out a little bit.

These cauliflower wings are also surprisingly easy to make. You just mix together flour, spices, and almond milk together, coat your cauliflower in the mixture, and cook for about 20 minutes. Then you take them out of the oven dip them in a BBQ and Sriracha mixture and cook for a few more minutes. They are way easier than I expected them to be!

Although the cauliflower wings are delicious by themselves, they taste even better with this cashew dipping sauce. The cashew dipping sauce is so creamy and helps to cool down your mouth since the cauliflower wings can get pretty spicy.
