I share pictures of my smoothie bowls all the time on Instagram, but I have never shared a smoothie bowl recipe on my blog before. Until now. Acai is seriously one of my favorite things in the world. You think that your smoothie is great, and then you add acai powder. Wow! It takes it to the next level! Obsessed is an understatement. And who doesn’t love peanut butter? This peanut butter acai smoothie bowl is a win/win situation.
My absolute favorite part of a smoothie bowl is the toppings. It’s what makes a smoothie bowl a smoothie bowl! I love loading on the toppings because it makes each and every bite a different flavor. I topped this smoothie bowl with bananas, frozen berries, dried mulberries, cacao nibs, peanut butter, and shredded coconut. Feel free to load on the toppings like I do, or keep it simple.
This is the acai powder that I use, and this is the powdered peanut butter that I use.
- 1 cup of frozen strawberries
- 2 frozen bananas
- 1 tbsp. acai powder
- ¼ cup cacao nibs
- 1½ cups almond milk
- 1 tbsp. maple syrup
- 1 tbsp. powdered peanut butter
- Add all ingredients to a blender, and blend until smooth. Add more almond milk if you want the consistency to be more like a smoothie than ice cream.
- Pour into a bowl, and add desired toppings.
