Email to the Company
Before classifying any brand as cruelty-free and vegan, I send them an email with the following questions:
- Are your products vegan? If only some are vegan, which ones?
- Are any of your products or ingredients tested on animals?
- Do you have a Leaping Bunny or PETA certification?
- Do your suppliers or any third parties test animals on your behalf?
- Does your company sell products in mainland China (except Hong Kong)?
- Are you owned by a parent company that tests on animals?
This is how Moon Juice responded:
All of our products are vegan except for Pearl Powder and the products that contain Pearl Powder – Beauty Dust and Cosmic Matcha.
We are proud to make 100% cruelty-free products. None of our ingredients or products are ever tested on animals, just us!
We do not have a leaping bunny certification, though it’s something we’re looking into for the future.
We are not owned by a parent company and we do not sell in mainland China. Nor do we sell anywhere else that requires us to test on animals, and we never would!
