Even products that can bypass mandatory tests may still be pulled from the shelves by Chinese authorities to be tested on animals.

First Aid Beauty claims to be cruelty-free even though they sell their products in mainland China. They say that they have been able to bypass government-mandated animal testing.

This means that First Aid Beauty has been able to bypass China’s pre-market animal testing policy, but China still has post-market animal testing that brands have no control over.

All cosmetics that are sold in China are at risk of post-market animal tests that are often done without a company’s knowledge or consent.

Because of China’s post-market animal testing, First Aid Beauty cannot be considered cruelty-free.
